The lamp series Original 1227 of the designer George Carwardine is known as a very functional and industrial looking lamp series. However, the model Original 1227 Mini Ceramic shows that the industrial can also be elegant. Responsible for this is the shade made of finest bone china, which is slightly translucent when illuminated. As with all models in the series, the lamp head of the ceramic model can also be tilted. Original 1227 Mini Ceramic is the perfect reading lamp on the bedside table or secretary.

In the 1930s, the British industrial designer George Carwardine (1887-1948) developed the typical Anglepoise look, namely task lights, primarily for the desk, which are maximally functional and provide the best light for work.
