Organic Mercury LED hanging light


An almost celestial body is a trademark of the design of the Mercury LED hanging light by Ross Lovegrove, one of the most influential designers of the contemporary era. His designs are always inspired by nature and have an organic character, whether a bike, solar-powered car, watch or light.

This is also made clear by this fantastic hanging light. It consists of an upper layer of cast aluminium, which reflects the light emitted by the LEDs installed in the existing reflective elements made of thermoplastic with a glossy chrome finish. This creates indirect lighting which gently illuminates the surroundings over a large area.

Mercury features a convenient switch-dimmer function; its light can be dimmed in three stages via the conventional wall switch.

Artemide, the Italian manufacturer of the Mercury LED hanging light, was founded in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi and has its headquarters in Pregnana near Milan. From there, Artemide distributes its high-quality designer products, many of which are considered worldwide to be icons of contemporary design.
