Foscarini Bahia - LED ceiling lamp, dimmable


The LED ceiling lamp Bahia captivates with a sculptural composition of differently sized, asymmetrically arranged plates made of injection-moulded polycarbonate. Both the not exactly round shape and the asymmetry give Bahia an organic character. The light source is well hidden inside the luminaire, creating an exclusively indirect play of light. The light makes its way out through the gaps between the plates. Bahia has a particularly vivid effect when switched on, when the top plate stands out as a shadow element.

Bahia - who doesn't think of the palm-fringed sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters of Brazil when they hear this name? The design of the luminaire, which is reminiscent of an aerial photograph of an archipelago, conveys precisely this lightness of South America. The designer duo Paolo Lucidi and Luca Pevere created several product series for the Venetian premium brand in synergy with the research activities of Foscarini.

To ensure an optimal lighting effect, the LED light source of the LED variants of the Bahia family was developed and implemented by Foscarini itself. With a CRI > 90, they achieve particularly good colour rendering and are dimmable. Of course, Bahia can also be used as a wall lamp and provide an atmospheric ambience both as a solitaire or in a composition of several.
