Foscarini Big Bang - dimmable LED pendant light A spectacular light structure made up of seemingly randomly placed and intersecting panels with the name Big Bang - this is a spectacular pendant light from Foscarini that knows how to polarise. In 2005, designers Enrico Franzolini and Vicente García Jiménez presented the Italian premium manufacturer Foscarini with a completely new form of lighting with their sculpture made of translucent methacrylate panels. The abstract character and chaotic form of the Big Bang pendant light radiates an energy that is reminiscent of the Big Bang and thus of the creation of the universe. The body of the luminaire is made up of translucent methacrylate panels that direct, shield and reflect the light in a sophisticated way. Thanks to this ingenious technology, Big Bang creates different lighting effects depending on the viewing angle and deliberately blurs symmetry and asymmetry. The panels seem to want to diverge, but are held together by their centre, the light source, and in composition create a spectacular ambient light that attracts everyone's attention. Depending on the desired brightness, Big Bang can be dimmed with a suitable dimmer (On-Off/Push/DALI).
