Foscarini Big Bang - dimmable LED pendant lamp


A spectacular light structure composed of seemingly randomly placed and crossing plates with the name Big Bang - this is a spectacular pendant lamp from the house of Foscarini, which knows how to polarize. With their sculpture made of translucent methacrylate plates, designers Enrico Franzolini and Vicente García Jiménez presented the Italian premium manufacturer Foscarini with a completely new form of lighting in 2005.

The abstract character and chaotic shape of the pendant lamp Big Bang radiate an energy that is supposed to remind of the big bang and thus the creation of the universe. The body of the lamp is formed by translucent plates of methacrylate, which ingeniously direct, shield and reflect the light. Depending on the viewing angle, Big Bang comes up with different light effects thanks to this sophisticated technology and deliberately blurs symmetry and asymmetry. The panels seem to want to strive apart, but are held together by their center, the light source, and in composition provide a spectacular room light that attracts all eyes. Depending on the desired brightness, Big Bang can be dimmed with a suitable dimmer (On-Off/Push/DALI).
