Foscarini Big Bang - dimmable LED hanging light


A spectacular, seemingly arbitrary, light structure with the name Big Bang, composed of seemingly randomly placed and intersecting slabs - this is the spectacular hanging light from Foscarini that knows how to excite. In 2005, the designers Enrico Franzolini and Vicente García Jiménez presented the Italian premium manufacturer Foscarini with their sculpture of translucent methacrylic plates.

The abstract character and the chaotic shape of the hanging light Big Bang radiate an energy reminiscent of the Big Bang and thus of the origin of the universe. The body is formed by transparent sheets of methacrylate that finely steer, shade, and reflect the light. Depending on the viewing angle, Big Bang offers different light effects thanks to this sophisticated technique, and makes symmetry and asymmetry consciously blur. The plates seem to want to move apart, but are held together by their centre, the light source, and provide in composition a spectacular light in the room that attracts attention.

Depending on the desired brightness, Big Bang can be dimmed with a suitable dimmer.
