In contrast to the classic Chouchin series by Foscarini, the Chouchin Reverse, as the name suggests, offers the design in an inverted colour scheme. The family of lamps, penned by the French designer Ionna Vautrin, features a hand-blown glass shade that is painted in the original version, making it opaque. With the Chouchin Reverse 3, the glass shade remains white satin and the small ring on the bottom is coloured. This ensures that the Chouchin Reverse 3 LED pendant lamp not only provides light downwards, but also diffuses light through the shade into the room. This lighting effect is perceived as bright and very pleasant, which can be used very well in cosy living rooms or in bars and cafés. The shape of the Chouchin series is inspired by Japanese lanterns, which are usually used to create several in front of houses or restaurants in Japan. Accordingly, the Chouchin is also designed in such a way that, although it can be used well on its own, it achieves an impressive harmony especially when used as an installation with the other two Chouchin forms.
