Foscarini Havana - Suspension lamp with special light effect
The shape of the special Havana pendant lamp is somewhat reminiscent of a cigar, which is already apparent from its name. It consists of a diffuser made of four elements of injection-moulded polyethylene, which are attached to each other with small circular hooks. This creates small gaps that, when the light is switched on, produce three thin strips of light, typical of the design of the Havana range of lights. The pendant lamp has the perfect interplay of form and function. It is light in design and creates a pleasant and beautiful room lighting.
Responsible for this Foscarini model is the designer Jozeph Forakis, who has already received numerous awards for his designs, as well as for this design. The Havana luminaire series, for example, is a permanent part of the designer collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
