Foscarini Mite - LED floor lamp made of fibreglass and carbon fibre


The impressive Mite LED floor lamp looks like an oversized champagne flute. The body is very slim at the bottom and extends upwards radiating a harmonious ambience towards the ceiling via the LED light source installed in the upper part of the lamp. Not only is Mite something special, but the chosen materials that it is made of are not always found in a light. Designer Marc Sadler chose fibre optic as a base material for the body, which is complemented by a carbon fibre wire.

For the perfect synthesis between technology and design, Sadler developed the idea of winding the carbon wire around the basic fibre optic form over and over again. This is how Mite came into being - a distinctive designer floor lamp that is one of a kind. The technology serves both as a supporting structure and as a decoration. The circular, coconut shaped form is fully apparent when the bright LED light diffuses gently down through the lighting shaft.

The brightness of the Mite floor lamp can be seamlessly dimmed via the dimmer on the transparent power cable. This designer piece guarantees the right lighting for any situation.
