Orient™ designer hanging light in black with rosewood element This pendant light impresses with an aesthetic design that dates back to 1963. The creator of the Orient™ pendant light - Jo Hammerborg - created 180 lights during his long career as head designer (1957-1980) at the Danish company Fog&Mørup, whose design is characterised by his high level of expertise in combining form, function and aesthetics in his designs. Some of these lights have been honoured with awards. The family of the designer, who died in 1982, brought the Orient™ pendant light back onto the market in 2013 in cooperation with the Danish company FRITZ HANSEN after his works were only available in antiquarian bookshops. The Orient™ pendant light presents itself as a versatile light source with its timelessly beautiful appearance and can be combined in many ways. The Danish manufacturer FRITZ HANSEN was founded in 1872 by the Danish carpenter Fritz Hansen and stands for precise craftsmanship, unique design and premium quality. In the course of the company's history, many renowned architects and furniture designers from all over the world, such as Verner Panton, Arne Jacobsen, Piero Lissoni, Cecilie Manz and Kasper Salto, have left their mark on the company's collections.
