Black design hanging light Terho with smoky grey transparent Glas The Terho hanging light is a beautiful sight even when it is switched off. Its appearance evokes associations with the fruit of the oak tree. The acorn (Finnish for "acorn") served as the model for the creator of this unusual light source, Maija Puoskari. The Finnish designer, who runs her studio in Helsinki's Kallio district, is a nature lover and enjoys spending her free time picking mushrooms and fishing. Terho can be used for general or table lighting in living and dining areas and enchants with its Scandinavian minimalist aesthetics and soft, cosy light. The Terho pendant light is manufactured by the Danish company Mater, which specialises in the high-quality production of furniture and lights. Mater always realises works by both young and established designers with sustainability and ethics in mind, which is reflected in the selection of traditional craft techniques and sustainable materials.
