Tempo 5772/5778 pendant light made of glass by Altherr & Lievore The designers Jeanette Altherr and Alberto Lievore have explored archetypes of lighting from antiquity to the present day for a series of lamps for the brand manufacturer Vibia and transformed them into a contemporary design using minimalist, abstract shapes. One of the results is the Tempo 5772/5778 pendant light, which interprets the classic traditional light bulb in a modern way, with an oval diffuser made of hand-blown glass dangling from an aluminium holder. The glass becomes increasingly opaque from top to bottom, ensuring soft light distribution in the surroundings. The Tempo pendant light is straightforward and simple, harmonising perfectly with modern room concepts. It can be used here as a single lighting object, but a group installation at different heights in combination with the other available sizes and colours is also conceivable.
