LED floor lamp Original 1227: movable light source for living and working areas
In 2012, the Anglepoise® lighting range was expanded with the addition of this floor lamp, which resembles the upper section of an Anglepoise® table lamp. The difference is that the flexible part of the light with the articulated arm and constant spring mechanism has been supplemented with a straight lamp frame, making it look more like a conventional floor lamp. However, this is only the case visually; functionally, the great flexibility and balanced design of the Anglepoise® remain unchanged. A floor lamp that is ideal as a reading lamp, for example in the living room next to the sofa or next to an armchair.
The original Anglepoise® design was created by English industrial designer George Carwardine, who applied his knowledge of car design, where he was responsible for shock absorber development, to the development of a work light in 1930. The Anglepoise® work light was equipped with special springs that mimicked the mobility of a human arm.
