White designer floor lamp Castore 35 with blown glass shade


The floor lamp Castore from the eponymous family of lamps is a filigree beauty, which consists of a base made of the metal alloy Zamak, a lamp rod made of synthetic resin and a noble shade in the shape of a ball made of mouth-blown glass. The latter emits the light of the lamp to be used diffusely and homogeneously. The simple beauty of the lamp not only comes into its own in private living spaces, but also represents a decorative, but not too dominant light object in public or commercially used areas.

Huub Ubbens designed the Castore lamp series in collaboration with Michele De Lucchi for the Italian lighting company Artemide, whose design department Ubbens headed for seven years. In 2005, he founded his own design studio in Milan, which is now based in Montpellier (South of France).
