Purist design with sophisticated functionality

The small wall light from Artemide's Demetra series of lights impresses with its elegant and minimalist design. With a diameter of just 13 cm, the Demetra LED wall light really fits anywhere. The slim head, which houses a highly efficient and dimmable LED, can also be rotated and swivelled flexibly. At the same time, the switch for switching the light on and off and for the dimming function is located on the upper side of the head, making it intuitive and easy to operate. The warm white light of the LED also creates a cosy atmosphere.

The award-winning design is the work of Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa. In 2013, he designed a series of lights, Demetra, which has won numerous design awards. His designs are always simple and straightforward at first glance, but perfectly tailored to the user. Fukasawa is less concerned with reinventing form and more with looking at the context of use and incorporating these insights into the design process. He has succeeded in doing this in a vivid way with the Demetra series.
