Sophisticated folding structure - designer floor lamp Minomushi in-ei


The Minomushi LED floor lamp by Artemide is an artistic lighting object by designer Issey Miyake. As part of a project in 2010, his team used a computer program based on 3D geometry and mathematics to create a series of lights designed using a very special folding technique that is characterized by its unique effect.

The Japanese term "in-ei" stands for shadow, richness of shadow or shading - exactly this light effect unfolds the floor lamp Minomushi with the numerous sections that shine with different brightness. Its shade consists of an outer layer of recycled plastic, which has an ideal form stability due to the surface treatment and the folding structure. At the same time, the shade can be easily folded for space-saving storage.

The Minomushi floor lamp, manufactured by the Italian manufacturer Artemide, is a skilful symbiosis of lighting expertise and an innovative approach to material and design.
