Artemide Nessino - designer table lamp, red

Old design - new splendour: Nessino designer table lamp from Artemide This table lamp shows just how timeless design can be: the Nessino model is the little sister of the Nesso table lamp. Nesso was developed in the 1960s by the designer Giancarlo Mattioli and the Gruppo Architetti Urbanisti Città Nuova. The mushroom-like form and the plastic body clearly indicate that it was created in this decade. Nevertheless, Nessino, the new edition of Nesso, is still a contemporary and appealing furnishing object today. Both the base and the lampshade of Nessino are made of injection-moulded polycarbonate. There are four bulb sockets under the lampshade. The hemispherical lampshade ensures that the light is emitted glare-free and indirectly into the surroundings. The Italian designer Giancarlo Mattioli (1933 - 2018) achieved great fame in the 1950s and 1960s with the Nesso table lamp, which is now exhibited in various major museums, such as the MOMA in New York.
