Ring-shaped LED pendant light O for outdoor use The LED pendant light O is a decorative lighting element that can withstand even adverse weather conditions thanks to its IP code IP67. The ring-shaped shade element is made of aluminium and the LEDs are covered by silicone. As soon as the light is switched on, the warm white glow spreads into the surroundings and creates a cosy ambience. The modern, no-frills design comes from Do Tank Element. This think tank was founded in 2001 by Alejandro Aravena as its director. His partners are Gonzalo Arteaga, Juan Cerda, Victor Oddó and Diego Torres, and this fantastic design was realised by the design product manufacturer Artemide. Ernesto Gismondi founded the company in 1960 together with Sergio Mazza, laying the Grund for today's Artemide Group, which is now one of the world's best luminaire manufacturers. Artemide puts the philosophy of "The Human Light" at the centre of every product and has made a decisive contribution to the international development of design with lights such as Eclisse by Vico Magistretti (1967), Tolomeo by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina (1989), Pipes by Herzog & De Meuron (2004) and the IN-EI collection by Issey Miyake (2014). Artemide was awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 1997 and honoured with the Qualitá Italia award in 2013 for its corporate performance.
