Design pendant lamp Scopas designed as an open sphere - controllable via app


An incomplete sphere forms the shade of the LED pendant lamp Scopas. This is composed of numerous disc-shaped light elements, which are black on the inside and emit the light through the matt plastic on the outside of the sphere. The result is an unusual image and a constantly changing appearance depending on the viewing angle. In addition, Scopas can be switched and dimmed via the Artemide app (available free for iOS and Android).

The Scopas pendant lamp was designed by the Scottish product designer Neil Poulton, who has won many international awards for his creations, including Red Dot and IF awards. He has been working for the Italian company Artemide since the 1990s, which manufactures pendant lights with the usual impeccable quality that characterises the manufacturer's products. In 2018, the Scopas luminaire was included in the 1st permanent collection of V & A Dundee, Scotland.
