Shogun table lamp in aluminium and steel with an adjustable lampshade


A column of black-and-white lacquered aluminium and a curved, adjustable lampshade made of perforated sheet steel – this is the Shogun table lamp by Artemide, designed by the Swiss designer Mario Botta. Geometric primary forms are distinctive features of his designs, as is the case with the Shogun table lamp; the base is shaped like a cylinder, whilst the lampshade consists of two halved cylinders arranged one above the other and offset horizontally by 90°. The perforated sheet steel lampshade diffuses the light throughout the room.

The Italian company Artemide, founded in 1960, produces high-quality designer lights, some of which are regarded as icons of contemporary design and are exhibited in various museums of modern art.
