Shogun table lamp in aluminium and steel with adjustable shade


A column made of black and white lacquered aluminium and a curved, adjustable shade made of perforated sheet steel - this is the Shogun table lamp by Artemide, a design by Swiss designer Mario Botta. Primary geometric shapes are unmistakable features of his design, and this is also the case with the Shogun table lamp; the base is shaped as a cylinder, the shade consists of two halved cylinders arranged one above the other, offset horizontally by 90°. The light is diffusely distributed into the room through the perforated sheet steel shade.

The Italian company Artemide, founded in 1960, produces high-quality designer lamps, some of which are considered icons of contemporary design and are exhibited in various museums of modern art.
