Award-winning functionality and design


The Tolomeo table lamp from Artemide has been a design classic since 1987. Over the years, this elegant light with its movable joints and outstanding head has delighted the masses. It can be found on countless desks, where it has become an indispensable feature. It was precisely this need – to have the perfect desk lamp – that drove architect and designer Michele De Lucchi in the 1980s. The result, created in collaboration with architect Giancarlo Fassina, is a timeless desk lamp that has lost none of its contemporary appeal over the decades.

In its normal position, the Tolomeo table lamp has a height of 64.5 cm and a depth of 78 cm. The flexible and movable joints allow the head and the individual arms to be individually adjusted and adapted. This makes perfect and targeted lighting possible, and the ingenious spring balance system of the joints ensures stability, regardless of the position of the light.
