Decorative Yanzi LED table lamp – design by Neri & Hu

The Yanzi LED table lamp shows a balanced relationship between the arm and the rod on which a white glass sphere appears to balance. There are LEDs built into the glass sphere and the light can escape freely into the room all around, creating very harmonious additional lighting. The colour contrast which is produced by the black painted frame, the brass-coloured arm and the white glass lampshade means that the Yanzi table lamp is a decorative element of the interior design even when it is turned off.

The architect duo Rossana Hu and Lyndon Neri, founders of the design studio Neri & Hu in Shanghai, have set themselves the goal of bringing design back into our everyday lives. In their works, they try to create a link between tradition and modernity, e.g. at the Waterhouse in Shanghai, a boutique hotel with 19 rooms which was incorporated into the derelict shell of a building from the 1930s.
