Small, classic and compact: LED desk lamp Tolomeo Micro with dimmer


The desk lamp Tolomeo Micro is a representative of the popular Tolomeo series by Artemide. It is the more compact and smaller version of the classic Tolomeo desk lamp. When the joints are all adjusted to right angles, the height of the light is 37 cm and its depth is 45 cm. The flexible joints allow the lampshade, and thus the beam of light, to be adjusted according to your individual basis.

The designer and architect Michele de Lucchi developed the Tolomeo series of lights in 1987 in collaboration with the architect Giancarlo Fassina. A mechanism used by fishermen in Apulia inspired de Lucchi to create the desk lamp, which was initially supposed to be for his own desk. However, the first prototypes did not work. It was only Giancarlo Fassina who was able to remedy this, allowing Tolomeo to go into series production.
