Empatia dimmable LED table light by Artemide


The Empatia LED table lamp combines hand-blown glass craftsmanship with innovative LED technology. To ensure the best in aesthetics and technology from Empatia’s design, manufacturers Artemide teamed up with Venice’s master glass blowers. Although the results demonstrate modern and clear expression of form, they also don’t lack the beauty of hand-blown glass. The lighting effect is also remarkable. The actual light bulb is located in the base of the light. From there, the light is directed by means of a transparent plastic rod to the glass diffuser, giving the impression that the rod and glass body are shining.

The Italian designer, entrepreneur and university lecturer Carlotta de Bevilacqua designed the Empatia lighting series together with her designer colleague Paola di Arianello. While the latest generation of LED products are de Bevilacqua’s specialist area, the goal of di Arianello was the expression of clarity, simplicity and concreteness.

Artemide is known and successful as an Italian designer lighting manufacturer worldwide. The company has continued to evolve since its founding in 1960. Today, own production facilities, glass factories and a research centre are part of the global group.
