The ARIETTE fabric-covered ceiling light from FLOS


The ARIETTE ceiling light by FLOS is truly a classic, having been designed by Tobia Scarpa back in 1973 – a fact that speaks volumes about its timeless quality. Four traditional light bulbs are fitted beneath the fabric shade with its textured fibre-optic effect, providing a rather diffuse, almost cosy light with a very warm tone. It is particularly ingenious, and you can already tell this from the fabric: it is not screws that hold the entire structure together – no, it is more reminiscent of those days spent freely in nature, when one had to concern oneself only with the bare essentials, for the internal red fibreglass arches, covered with white fabric, resemble the framework of a tent.

Available in three different sizes, this ceiling light can just as easily be mounted on the wall and is also ideal for public spaces where a special atmosphere is desired.
