Mobile LED designer table lamp Bellhop with rechargeable batteryThe LED table lamp Bellhop is a design by Universal Design Studio founders Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, which they implemented together with the Italian manufacturer FLOS for the restaurant Parabola and the members' lounge of the Design Museum London, which has its new headquarters in Kensington since November 2016, in 2018. This resulted in the wirelessly functioning table lamp Bellhop, whose base and shade are made of colored polycarbonate. The integrated LEDs feed their light into the side of a plastic disc. The diffuser is made of photoengraved, injection-molded, opal polycarbonate and allows the light to escape gently diffused downward. A knob located on the base allows the brightness to be dimmed in four levels. The charging of the table lamp Bellhop, which can be used mobile for up to 24 hours, is done via a micro USB port. For six hours of operation with maximum luminous flux, a charging time of three hours is required. The battery status indicator is visible under the base. A USB-C cable is included in the scope of delivery.
