Glo-Ball F3 floor lamp with glass ball for a particularly cosy glow The glass ball that makes up the lampshade of Glo-Ball, a floor lamp from FLOS, almost seems to float in the room. However, it does not float, but is delicately balanced on a narrow metal rod that leads into the base of the light. Like our Earth globe, the Glo-Ball globe is slightly flattened at the top and bottom, giving the otherwise simple and classic design a special touch. The nature of the lampshade is responsible for the special lighting effect of Glo-Ball F3: the hand-blown opal glass has been etched, creating a soft light that adds a cosy flair to the room. When developing the Glo-Ball luminaire series, the English designer Jasper Morrison wanted to achieve maximum light distribution, for which a round glass body, as used in the Glo-Ball F3 floor lamp, is ideally suited.
