IC F floor lamp from FLOS - a floating ball on a pole Michael Anastassiades, the designer of this floor lamp, was inspired by a juggler. He let several balls run from his fingertips and back over his arms. Just as the balls ran over the juggler's arms, so does the glass ball of the floor lamp - with the difference that it does not move. It is frozen in perfect balance on the arm of the frame and symbolises balance and the feeling of being in equilibrium. In addition to the IC light family, Michael Anastassiades has created other lights for the Italian designer light company FLOS. These include String Light and Copycat. The designers who work for FLOS have already received numerous national and international awards for their work.
