Outdoor lighting with the LED ceiling lamp In Vitro Ceiling by designer Philippe Starck


The outer body of the robust and high-quality LED outdoor ceiling lamp In Vitro by Philippe Starck from FLOS is made of die-cast and extruded aluminum. Inside is a clear borosilicate glass body that looks like it should protect the bulb. But what was once used as a protective glass for the bulb is now only a decorative accessory, because In Vitro is equipped with permanently installed LEDs, which are located in the upper part of the lamp behind an opal diffuser.

In the covered outdoor area, for example, in the entrance area or on a porch, the ceiling lamp In Vitro finds its place. It is well equipped with IP66 protection for outdoor use.

Philippe Starck has, in addition to his designs for the lighting company FLOS, already designed many different objects, buildings and also boats and motorcycles. The architect and designer is very versatile, but always works according to the principle of minimalism: no unnecessary details that distract
