Compact LED recessed floor luminaire Pointbreak Balisage sets the scene for outdoor facilities


The recessed floor luminaire Pointbreak Balisage is equipped with warm white LEDs, which are located in the head of the luminaire behind an aluminum reflector. They emit their light directly, asymmetrically downwards, providing very uniform illumination and preventing any glare.

Most of the aluminum body is recessed into the floor and blends flush with the flooring. On top of this sits a polycarbonate diffuser that visually appears to sit directly on the floor surface. It is transparent and has a scratch-resistant surface, and the polycarbonate is also UV-stabilized. These are many factors that, in combination with the double powder coating of the aluminum head, contribute to a high resistance to corrosion and all weather conditions. Therefore, Pointbreak Balisage is ideal for discreet lighting in outdoor areas, where its compact shape and unique design make it a high-quality lighting solution that can safely illuminate walkways and outdoor areas.

The designer Piero Lissoni has created this series of lamps to be able to create a special atmosphere even in the outdoor area. He works for the famous Italian design company FLOS, whose name means flower in Latin. FLOS was founded in 1962 and is known for numerous design classics that are as functional as they are graceful. These two qualities are also summed up in the Pointbreak series.
