LED pendant lamp Smithfield Pro, DALI-dimmable


LED pendant lamp Smithfield Pro was developed by the British designer Jasper Morrison. His goal was to create the lamp in a familiar and popular form, while making it a modern lighting element. He was inspired by the view of the lights of London's Smithfield market, from which the luminaire owes its name.

The round body of the hanging lamp is made of aluminum and is attached to the ceiling with the double-insulated power cable. Also integrated into the lampshade is the diffuser made of methacrylate. This ensures that the warm light is emitted downwards without glare and creates a pleasant atmosphere in the room. With its built-in electronics, the Smithfield hanging lamp is adapted for use with the DALI lighting system. When the lamp is integrated into the system, it is possible to adjust its brightness to personal needs and the particular area of use. The ceiling lamp can be used especially well to illuminate the living room or dining room, but also fits easily into other premises.

The renowned Italian lighting manufacturer FLOS is responsible for the production of the hanging lamp. FLOS is characterized by the use of durable and particularly high-quality materials and is always involved in the development of new, innovative lights without neglecting the basic cultural values of the company. In its more than 50-year history, FLOS has been awarded the most important Italian industrial design prize Compasso d'Oro several times. The company also received the Red Dot Design Award in 2013.
