Toio Limited Edition - special edition to mark the 100th birthday of Achille Castiglioni The Toio floor lamp is a classic in the range of the designer light manufacturer FLOS from Italy. The original design for this relatively unconventional floor lamp dates back to 1962, when the Italian designer and architect Achille Castiglioni (1918-2002) created this light together with his brother Pier Giacomo. Castiglioni is known as a designer who was committed to the ready-made concept, which means that he used everyday objects for his designs instead of inventing a completely new object. For the Toio floor lamp, for example, a car headlight was used as the head for the first design. The transformer serves as the base, which also gives the light stability. The height-adjustable arm and the cable routing through three rings are reminiscent of a fishing rod. The special limited edition of this classic light is being released to mark the 100th birthday of its creator and is equipped with a contemporary LED bulb that was specially made for this light. A hologram with a serial number and an enclosed booklet serve as a certificate of authenticity.
