Grass XS pendant light made of rattan and abacá with handmade lampshade The Grass XS pendant light catches the eye with its handmade lampshade, which is made of rattan and abacá. Abacá is a plant species from East Asia from the banana family and is used as a fibre plant, for example for the production of marine ropes. The rounded lampshade is made up of several strips in different Warm colours, creating a harmonious overall look. The canopy is made of metal and the cable is made of textile, both elements are black in colour. The pendant light emits light downwards and is ideal for illuminating the living room or dining room table, for example. Grass XS was conceived by the product designer Jette Scheib. Her aim with Grass was to express the tranquillity that lies in the traditional weaving process and to emphasise the connection between basket makers and Nature. The strips in Warm colours are reminiscent of the fields where the material for basket weaving grows. Die pendant light was produced by the renowned lighting manufacturer Forestier.
