The two Italian designers Paolo Lucidi and Luca Pevere are responsible for this special design, which was developed for Foscarini. The two Milanese designers are always ready to take up the challenge of creating new types of products, always looking for new or unusual materials or manufacturing technologies. Aplomp was created to test concrete as a material for a luminaire. An exciting mix of architectural and design elements is combined in the finished pendant luminaire, which is made from a special cement mix. By adding different colour pigments to the cement mixture for the lampshade, new interpretations of the originally rather dull and grey material are created.
As a pendant luminaire, Aplomb offers direct zone lighting, which allows punctual illumination of the surface below. It is therefore ideal for the dining table or as counter lighting.
