Product description

Gem floor lamp combines Italian craftsmanship and sophisticated design As soon as sound waves meet water or other liquids, gentle Wells and flowing geometric patterns form on the surface. It was precisely this phenomenon that inspired designers Ludovica and Roberto Palomba to create the Gem range of lamps, which includes this floor lamp. The Wells can be found on the surface of the round lampshade, which is made of mouth-blown Glas. The flowing, intersecting lines create three-dimensional facets that set atmospheric Akzent in combination with light. The bulb is completely encased in the white Glas, which provides a soft and glare-free glow. The metal base with its minimalist appearance emphasises the minimalist yet creative design of the floor lamp. The designer duo created Gem for the brand manufacturer Foscarini, which was founded on the Venetian island of Murano in 1981. Glas is at the centre of many of the brand's lights and the Gem floor lamp is also a tribute to this precious material, which is elaborately crafted by hand.
