Foscarini Lumiere G9 - ceiling lamp in blown glass


Simple and unobtrusive, yet special in its own way - the Lumiere G9 ceiling lamp from Foscarini catches the eye with its dynamic elegance. Characteristic of the lamp made of mouth-blown opal glass is the beveled lampshade. The disc of metal painted with epoxy powder, placed in the center of the trough, serves as a visual anchor point and also acts as a support for the lamp itself.

Experienced glassblowers produce the shiny glass shade of the Lumiere G9 with great craftsmanship. The attention to detail and precision with which the production is done, undoubtedly benefit the appearance and lighting effect of this lamp. The Lumiere's opal glass shade takes the glare out of the light, spreading a diffused yet bright ambient light. If you want to regulate the brightness, the use of an external dimmer is recommended. Especially in composition with several luminaires of the product family, preferably in different sizes, create design-oriented, dynamic light ensembles on the ceiling.

Rodolfo Dordoni was born in Milan in 1954 and has specialized as a designer in the fields of furniture and furnishings. The collection Lumiere, from his pen, is one of the most popular models of the Italian design brand Foscarini.
