Foscarini Satellight LED glass table lamp with a cosmic character

Like a satellite – a floating light from Foscarini.
A sphere of white satin, handblown glass appears to float in a state of weightlessness, while only a transparent glass cone prevents it from climbing into the cosmos. With the LED table lamp Satellight, the Spaniard Eugeni Quitllet, who has a great passion for weightlessness, has achieved an absolute highlight in design. Designed in 2017 for Foscarini, the Italian lighting manufacturer, Satellight cast a spell on visitors at the Euroluce trade fair in Milan in the same year.

When switched on, the satin sphere shines as evenly as the full moon on the firmament. The cone, made of clear, handblown glass, which looks like it has been superimposed over the glass ball, is meant to symbolise the universe. If you look at the table lamp fitted with an integrated LED light from a distance, the clear-glass body blends more and more into the background, making the light's association with the full moon in the night sky even clearer.

The light effect of the LED table lamp is uniform and doesn’t dazzle. The integrated touch dimmer also does its utmost to make it possible to customise the light output. Even when switched off, Satellight does not lose any of its cosmic presence.
