Rounded wall lamp Tress grande made of fiberglass composite materialThe rounded shade of the wall lamp Tress grande is made of fiberglass composite material. To bring it into shape, a narrow ribbon was wrapped by hand around a rotating cylinder, creating an artistic weave. Individual ribbons, running diagonally from top to bottom, break through the basic structure to create light apertures of varying sizes. The bulb holder is attached to the top of the lampshade and emits light upwards and towards the floor, creating a particularly beautiful play of light and shadow on the wall. In addition, the light is radiated into the room through the interstices of the wickerwork. The wall lamp can be used flexibly in the living area and can be used, for example, in the hallway area, in the living room as well as in the bedroom.The lamp series Tress was conceived by the designer Marc Sadler for the renowned Italian company Foscarini. He was inspired by the structure of a female braid. For his work, he often experiments with new materials and production processes. This approach still distinguishes the designer, who has been awarded several times with the Compasso d'Oro.
