Foscarini Twiggy Grid - LED pendant light for outdoors, IP44 The hallmark of the Twiggy Grid LED pendant light from Foscarini is the handcrafted lampshade with a mesh look. In a special process developed by Foscarini itself, a thin band of glass fibre composite material is wrapped around a rotating cylinder. While the upper and lower edges of the shade are reinforced with an additional band, the rest of the shade is very delicate, giving the light a very open and light character overall. The LED light impresses with very good colour rendering (CRI>90) and is emitted downwards over a large area through a satinised diffuser located in the upper part of the lampshade. As a pendant light above a balcony or patio table, Twiggy Grid is able to provide direct and very bright ambient lighting. However, this designer piece also makes an immediate impression indoors - for example as dining area or kitchen table lighting. Marc Sadler is an industrial designer and, following the first edition of the Twiggy series in 2006, has ventured a new edition with the Twiggy Grid outdoor light version. Always experimenting with new materials and production processes, the Twiggy Grid is once again the result of his meticulous research work.
