Suspension lamp Multi-Lite with adjustable shade - brass frame

For an individual lighting concept, the designer pendant lamp Multi-Lite - a creation of Louis Weisdorf - is exactly the right option. Depending on how the shade elements are pushed into each other, the light is emitted upwards, downwards or even asymmetrically. In this way, a new shade look can be created again and again, which, in combination with the outer frame in the form of a brass ring, creates an effective effect in any room. The frame ring plays the role of a fastening and a starting point for the variation of the shade elements.

The first example of the Multi-Lite series was created in 1972: the complete creative diversity of its designer - the Dane Louis Weisdorf, born in 1932 - is reflected in this impressive lighting object. After graduating from the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Weisdorf worked in a variety of fields, from the building trade to the amusement industry. From 1961 to 1971, for example, he was principal assistant to Simon Henningsen, chief architect of Copenhagen's Tivoli. From the late 1960s he worked in his own studio in Copenhagen, which he shared with the architect Ole Panton. In his career as a designer he cooperated nationally and internationally and again and again with famous designers like Le Klint, Poul Henningsen as well as Verner Panton.
