ZigBee and Thread are popular wireless standards for smart home products such as sensors or lamps. These devices do not normally communicate directly with your Wi-Fi router or mobile phone as they use different wireless protocols. The smart home hub, on the other hand, picks up the signals from your ZigBee or Thread devices and translates them into a format that is understood by your Wi-Fi network and your control devices - such as your mobile phone or tablet. The connection to the router is made directly via LAN cable (included). Power can also be supplied via the router using a USB cable (included) - Enables Wi-Fi integration and joint management of smart devices that communicate with different wireless standards - The Hama Smart Home app or voice control via Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or Apple Siri can be used to conveniently control the connected devices while on the move Note: Please note the requirements when using other manufacturers. Matter is the new smart home standard and was developed by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), which includes more than 200 companies. Matter is intended to establish itself as a cross-manufacturer standard. Matter Smart Home enables smart home devices from different manufacturers to communicate and network seamlessly and easily with each other. The products can be used in parallel in different apps.
