From which designer's collection might this minimalist Johnny B. Good pendant light originate, if not from Ingo Maurer's? Johnny B. Good is a designer light that requires nothing more than a simple traditional light bulb (see accessories) fitted with a satin-finished diffuser ring to attract attention. Ingo Maurer recognised 15 years ago that the current trend in lighting design – namely, placing the spotlight on the bulb itself – was a promising artistic device and made it a distinctive feature of his lighting designs. The Johnny B. Good pendant light is also a minimalist light source that does justice to the aesthetics of the traditional light bulb.

The E27 socket is connected to the canopy via a 420 cm long cable. The height of the light should be chosen so as to avoid glare. The anti-glare ring made of polytetrafluoroethylene, or PTFE for short, serves to reduce glare from the matching light source (see accessories) and should be at eye level. Johnny B. Good is height-adjustable during operation by enlarging or reducing the cable loop. The use of an external dimmer is recommended to individually adjust the brightness of the light.

The pendant light is effective not only as a single luminaire, but also as a group with different suspension lengths or mounted in series.
