The table lamp is carefully handcrafted by the French lamp manufacturer Jieldé, as evidenced by the small plaque with an individual number on the lampshade. The company was founded in the 1950s by Jean-Louis Domecq, who designed the first flexible and robust lights for workplaces in factories and workshops.
