The designers of Bag, the design studio Baldessari & Baldessari, explain the name and the appearance of their table lamp as follows: Bag is a very feminine model which is equipped with a handle like a handbag. This allows the light to be placed on a surface. The actual bag is the lampshade which is spacious and versatile. The table lamp Bag can provide direct light which is almost like a spotlight and can also emit a very cosy, indirect light if you allow it to shine against a wall, for example.

The studio Baldessari & Baldessari was founded by Giulio, Paolo and Michela Baldessari and has developed the first design for the designer lighting manufacturer Karman. Karman is known for its high-quality designer lights which are made in Italy.
