Made in Italy: designer LED hanging light Kimono in the shape of a lantern


White fibreglass is the basic material for this LED hanging light, which was designed by the Italian designer Matteo Ugolini. His design, which is supposed to represent a lantern in a stylised shape, is called Kimono. The fibreglass is not cut straight at the light outlets at the top and the bottom, but is deliberately left in such a way that looks as if it were fraying. When you turn the light on, a cosy and, above all, glare-free light is produced due to the translucent fibreglass.

The Italian lighting manufacturer Karman stands for extraordinary designs which express and evoke emotions. Matteo Ugolini is the company’s Art Director. He designs a majority of the lights from the company’s portfolio. Their aesthetics and their unique character are the characteristics which make Karman’s handmade lights stand out.
