Striking Geen-A floor lamp with carrying handle

Made from steel with a polyester powder coating, the Geen-A floor lamp blends perfectly into a minimalist interior design style. A tall, cylindrical base ensures stability, whilst a slender stem leads up to the semi-circular lampshade. A distinctive feature is the carrying handle above the light source, which can be used to move the light. The warm white light source shines exclusively downwards through the metal lampshade, providing reading light in an armchair or by the bed. An integrated dimmer helps to adjust the brightness to suit the current circumstances.

The Italian architect and designer Ferruccio Laviani conceived the design of the Geen-A with the joy of reading in mind. The design is a small tribute to his mother, who loved to spend her free time with a book in her hand. The curiosity aroused by looking at a book cover, and the way books transport the reader to a fantastical world, create a special atmosphere that the artist aims to enhance with the Geen-A floor lamp.

The Geen-A is manufactured by the Italian company Kartell, which has been committed to sustainability since its foundation in 1949. Extensive research has made it possible to use materials that are renewable and have no negative impact on the environment. The raw materials used are recyclable and, thanks to the material processing methods employed in industrial production, can be given a new lease of life.
