This table lamp is a real eye-catcher because, unlike most others, it consists of a lampshade that is attached to a frame at the top and opens outwards at the bottom. This makes it look as though the lampshade is hanging in a picture frame. The frame and lampshade of the Light-Air are made of plastic. The lampshade also features an embossed pattern which refracts the light as it escapes, creating a cosy, warm atmosphere. The Light-Air series of lights was created by the Catalan designer Eugeni Quitllet for the Italian design brand Kartell.

With this light, the Italian manufacturer Kartell remains true to its tradition of producing furniture made from plastic. Various internationally renowned designers have already collaborated with Kartell to create true masterpieces. The company is so successful that it has even established its own museum to preserve, promote and highlight its heritage.
