With touch dimmer: LED table lamp Planet by Tokujin Yoshioka The most striking thing about the designer table lamp Planet from Kartell is its sparkling and glittering light, which enchants the surroundings with a beautiful play of light. It is hard to believe that this effect is not created by crystals, but by a lampshade made of plastic. Creating a sparkling light effect without crystals was the challenge Tokujin Yoshioka set himself when designing this light. Together with Kartell, the company known for its plastic designer pieces, the designer built many prototypes until the resin from which the lampshade is made was modelled in such a way that it produced the desired crystal effect. Kartell's best-known designer pieces include the K 1340 children's chair and the KS 1481 lemon squeezer. In the lighting sector, the 4006 model by Achille and Piergiacomo Castiglioni from 1959 and the Tic Tac series, which was created in 1970, are responsible for the company's high profile. Many of Kartell's designer pieces have not only won various prizes, but can also be admired in museums despite their relatively young age.
