Flow designer ceiling light – a play of light and shadow


The Flow ceiling light consists of a lampshade with an elegant black finish and a handblown opal glass sphere that houses and protects the bulb inside. This allows the light to shine directly and diffusely into the room.

The design of the Flow ceiling light is inspired by leaves blowing in the wind, with the black metal disc imitating the leaf. The individual components of the Flow lighting series can be combined to create beautiful, stylish installations by mounting the ceiling light, pendant light or matching decorative element together.

Greek product designer Chris Basias, who created the Flow series for Italian lighting manufacturer kdln, specialises in lighting. Light is his passion, and as he admits, he can see light in every moment of his life. His designs are highly original and characterised by simple lines and geometric shapes. Each piece has a story to tell, as the Flow lighting series does so impressively.
