Opyo floor lamp in the shape of a poppy flower


In the Opyo floor lamp, Italian designer Cristina Celestino combines the allure of the forbidden, the charm of nature and the elegance of glass and brass. A handblown lampshade made of double-layered opal glass, modelled on the capsule of the opium poppy, sits enthroned on a long stem made of brass-coloured lacquered metal. This plant is the raw material for the strictly regulated narcotic opium, which gives the floor lamp its name.

Nature is one of the typical sources of inspiration for the lights produced by kdln. The creative concept and skilful craftsmanship make Opyo a high-quality, expressive element of interior design.
